Caribbean Ecoware plates are made of a blend of sugar cane pulp (bagasse) and bamboo. They are available in 2 sizes – 9” and 10” and the perfect choice for beach picnics and parties. Our plates are compostable within 60 to 120 days and do not require a commercial composting facility.
Our cutlery is made from renewable birchwood and is one of the best alternatives to plastic. They are sturdy and fully compostable without needing a commercial composting facility.
Straws
We offer white paper straws either unwrapped or individually wrapped, as well as cocktail straws in a unique blue and white pattern. Do your part to protect our environment and marine life by choosing paper straws which break down naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bagasse It is a by-product of sugarcane. When sugarcane stalks are harvested, they are pressed to extract their juices which then gets processed into sugar, molasses etc. Bagasse is the dry fibrous substance which is left behind after the pressing and extraction. Using a high heat and pressure process this material is then be moulded into various containers and tableware such as bowls and plates.

Yes our products are heat proof up to 248 Fahrenheit / 120 degrees Centigrade. In addition they can be put in the refrigerator.
Caribbean Ecoware’s products have a heat and oil proof coating which prevents leakage. If the food is in the container for a long time there may be some slight softening due to the condensation but the containers will not split or leak.

Caribbean Ecoware’s containers will compost within 60-120 days without the need of a Commercial Facility.
